Customer Service Specialist (Utility/Billing)- OnSite

Yoh has an immediate, 3 month contract opportunity, as a Customer Service Specialist (Utility/Billing) within the Utilities industry to join our client, OnSite, to report to their office in Pacific Grove, CA

• $35/hr. max hourly rate
• 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM
• Must be able to investigate and resolve billing issues independently 

***Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the client-site nature of this role, we are unable to support OPT or STEM OPT employment, including completion of Form I-983***

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide front-line customer service, assisting customers in person and by phone with account questions, payments, and service requests
• Process payments, balance cash drawer, and prepare daily deposits
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, including high usage concerns, service orders, and account adjustments
• Support new service setup by entering customer data into SAP and initiating service orders
• Input and manage meter readings and create follow-up orders as needed
• Enter employee timesheet data to support payroll processing
• Assist with reporting and general administrative support as needed

Who You Are

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working with data and documentation
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, including basic mathematical reasoning
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and general computer systems
• Familiarity with clerical and administrative processes
• Knowledge of utility billing concepts (rate structures, common billing issues, water usage) is preferred
• Professional demeanor with strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment 
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role
