To support its international business development—particularly in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions—the organization is seeking a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in proactive legal support and risk management.

About the Role

In this role, you will serve as a key legal expert, guiding strategic initiatives and ensuring robust legal frameworks.

You will:

  • Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to identify and address legal issues.
  • Provide legal insights during critical business projects, including M&A and new product launches.
  • Enhance the capabilities of your team through mentorship and the promotion of best practices in legal and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support:
  • Lead and support projects such as mergers and acquisitions, and new business launches.
  • Advise on governance matters from a legal perspective during cross-border initiatives.
  • Incident Response:
  • Assist in litigation and trouble response by coordinating with both local and international legal and risk management teams.
  • Business Support:
  • Offer legal consultation and negotiate contracts.
  • Draft and review confidential and urgent contracts (including English-language agreements).
  • Serve as a mentor for contract review processes and facilitate communication with overseas stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate legal department with a focus on proactive legal support in business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
  • Leading projects where English is the primary language.
  • Conducting front-line contract negotiations in English.
  • Managing compliance cases in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with domestic and international M&A, including post-merger integration.
  • Familiarity with legal challenges in data business, cloud services, or advanced technologies such as AI.
  • Experience in managing compliance cases at overseas subsidiaries.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Chinese) is an asset.
