Have experience in food production or processing? Chandler Macleod is seeking reliable and motivated Production Workers to join busy food manufacturing sites across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

We have opportunities across food manufacturing, fresh poultry processing, and bakery and pastry production, with different shift patterns and employment options available.

Previous food production or food processing experience is essential. Please review the requirements for each location below.

Available Opportunities

Ravenhall – Food Production Workers
Morning and afternoon shifts | Opportunity to develop your skills

We’re looking for mechanically minded production workers who are keen to learn, with the potential to develop into operator roles.

• Morning shift: 5:30am start
• Afternoon shift: 1:45pm start
• Previous food production or processing experience required
• Mechanically minded, with an interest in learning production equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• No food allergies due to exposure to food ingredients on site

Laverton North – Poultry Production Workers
Morning and afternoon shifts | Potential for permanent employment

These roles involve processing and packing raw chicken in a cold, fast-paced production environment.

• Morning and afternoon shifts available, with varied start times depending on the area you are rostered to work in
• Must be available to work across all seven days of the week
• Initially approximately three shifts per week, with potential for additional shifts from the end of October
• Opportunity to move into permanent employment after 3–4 months for the right candidates
• Previous food production or processing experience required
• Must be comfortable handling raw chicken and working in a cold environment
• Full Australian working rights, a current driver’s licence and your own car are essential

Altona North – Bakery & Pastry Production Workers
Ad hoc morning and night shifts

Join a busy food manufacturing environment producing bakery and pastry goods. These opportunities suit experienced food production workers who are flexible and available to work shifts as required.

• Morning and night shifts available
• Ad hoc shifts, with work offered according to production requirements
• Previous food production or processing experience required; bakery or pastry production experience highly regarded
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Reliability and flexibility to accept available shifts
• No food allergies due to exposure to food ingredients on site

What You’ll Be DoingDepending on the site and role, your duties may include:

• Working on food processing and production lines
• Packing, sorting, weighing and labelling products
• Checking product quality and packaging accuracy
• Operating or assisting with production equipment where required
• Performing repetitive manual tasks and standing for extended periods
• Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas
• Following food safety, PPE and workplace safety procedures

What We’re Looking ForAcross all three locations, we’re seeking candidates with:

• Previous food production or food processing experience
• A reliable, punctual and positive approach to work
• The ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role

You must be willing to complete any required pre-employment checks and comply with strict site hygiene requirements, including no jewellery, false eyelashes, nail polish or artificial nails.
