SW QLD - Locum Senior Hospital Dietitian - 14th September – 2nd October
HP3 or HP4 Dietitian required for locum with remote health service based in South West Queensland. You will join a small allied health team and cover a varied caseload including:
- Inpatients
- Outpatients
- Community
- Outreach
- Full time hours, Monday – Friday

Locum rates upto $80 per hour + super dependent on years of experience + potential for living away from home tax benefits (more take home pay, up to $8 dollars more an hour!)

NT - Locum Senior Hospital Dietitian - 7th September for 8 weeks
Experienced Dietitian required for hospital based role in the Northern Territory. You will join team of 100 allied health clinicians, including Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Chaplain, ALO. I’ve had great feedback from my current locums.
- 7th September for 8 weeks
- Acute care or renal experience required
- The caseload is acute care- ICU, paediatrics, renal, surgical general medical and outpatients, gastro- including PEG and IBD. A lot of opportunities for unique experiences and professional development including eating disorders, motivational interviewing and cultural engagement.
- Team leadership experience preferred
- Locum rates upto $80 per hour + super
- Option for living away from home tax benefits – more take home pay upto $8 per hour
- ABN payment also an option!
- Hospital experience is mandatory
- You need to have or be eligible for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
- Work hours are 8am to 4.21pm
- Driver’s licence is preferred but not essential.
- Opportunity for remote trips if desired
- The team is very social.
- Relocation assistance of upto $1000 and subsidised accommodation available. The accommodation is on site, so less than 5 min to walk to work and 10 minutes to town.
Join this large allied health team, including some of my other locums. All have extended their time with this hospital. The team are inclusive and social.
85% of the caseload is indigenous, with 50% coming in from remote communities. I’ve had great feedback from my current locums and this is a great chance to develop your skill set. If you like the outdoors, the lifestyle here is fab!
The location is a great base for exploring the natural wonders of the Outback including: Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, the West MacDonnell Ranges and the Larapinta Trail, the Simpson Desert and the gorgeous NT watering holes. It’s also a fascinating spot to explore Australia’s Aboriginal culture.
Expressions of interest for Remote NSW - Senior Paediatric Dietitian - level 3
- Contract until 30th June 2027
- Focus on antenatal/paediatrics (mainly community based)
- Salary range from $121,568 - $125,507 + superannuation
With a population just shy of 20,000, the town is small enough to allow for a relaxed country lifestyle, while big enough to provide all the desired facilities of a regional hub including major supermarkets and retail stores, excellent schools (7 primary & 2 high), multiple gyms & aquatic centre, well-known fast food franchises and a plethora of trendy restaurants, pubs and cafés.
You will have a:
- Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligible for Membership of Dietitian’s Australia and/or APD status, with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Paediatric and Antenatal Health , including the assessment and management of various clinical presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver Dietetic Services in Hospital, Community Health settings, private residences and outreach locations.
- Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams like CAFN, Midwifery and Paediatrics, GP’s, community NGO’s
- Experience in education and support of patients, families and carers, including the ability to build capacity within Paediatric teams.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence, and willingness to travel across the Far West LHD to deliver care, with possible over night stays.
- Experience in delivering and co-ordinating, Community Health Promotion programs.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience, including the ability to support junior staff/students and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives. Ability to actively participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on programs.
