Senior Data Engineer (8324)

A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Senior Data Scientist.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on Google Cloud Platform
- Develop and optimize data processing jobs using PySpark and Databricks
- Architect and manage data lakes, data warehouses etc.
- Collaborate with analysts and product teams to deliver high-quality data products
- Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot pipeline performance and data quality issues
- Contribute to full-stack development tasks including building APIs, dashboards, or internal tools as needed
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance best practices are followed

Required Skills:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform — BigQuery, Cloud Composer, - Dataflow, GCS, Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in PySpark and distributed data processing
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows)
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Bigtable)
- Familiarity with dbt for data transformation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly

Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Flextime or staggered working hours possible)
Work Style: Hybrid (Typically 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home)
