General Manager (Taiwan market)- Ultra High Net Worth Insurance and Wealth Solutions

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a market from the ground up. Beyond managing an existing book, your role will shape the Taiwan strategy, the team, and the platform yourself. As General Manager, you own full P&L ownership , backed by the resources and credibility of a leading international insurance brokerage platform. This role will suit a market builder and lead dealmaker for Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients and cross-border wealth solutions.

Key accountabilities

• Own the Taiwan market strategy and full P&L — revenue, cost, and profitability
• Build and scale a market-leading UHNW insurance advisory platform
• Personally originate, structure, and close high-value UHNW transactions
• Serve as senior relationship owner for key clients, private banks, family offices, EAMs, and trustees
• Design sophisticated solutions spanning wealth preservation, premium financing, universal life/investment-linked products, and cross-border trust structures
• Act as Responsible Officer to regulators, ensuring full compliance with Taiwan's Insurance Act and broker regulations
• Build governance, risk, and internal control frameworks
• Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing advisory team

What You Bring

• At least 12-15 years in insurance, brokerage, or wealth management, including experience within an insurance company/broker/agent/bancassurance unit and years as a licensed signatory (or equivalent), with significant senior leadership experience.
• A track record managing a significant UHNW book of business.
• Strong relationships across private banks, family offices, and insurers
• Cross-border structuring experience strongly preferred
• Eligibility to act as a licensed Responsible Person under Taiwan insurance regulations
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial acumen, and high personal integrity
