Remote QLD - 2 x Locum Podiatrist – remote health and outreach

• ASAP start for 8-12 weeks + possible extension
• Locum rates $$ + accommodation and travel provided
• Community and outreach

 2 x Locum Podiatrists required for locum roles in Outback Queensland. I’ve had great feedback from other locums. You will join a team of allied health clinicians and cover:

• Initial assessments and reviews
• Diabetic foot assessments
• General nail care and treatment
• Biomechanical and orthotics
• A generalist caseload predominantly for low to moderate risk clients
• Outreach involving road and sometimes aircraft with overnight travel. The multidisciplinary team provides outreach to communities in the area
• Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander population as well as general population
• Monday – Friday. The hours are flexible to account for time spent travelling to outreach sites.
• There are two locations available.

 
Additional Information:

• August/September for 8-12 weeks + longer term options also available.
• Locum rates based on experience, more for ABN.
• Potential for PAYG living away from home benefits (more take home pay, usually $5-7 dollars more an hour!).
• FREE accommodation, a private room in a share house. There may or may not be other occupants depending on timing. A car is also provided for local use.
• Return flights reimbursed.

Regional SA - Locum Podiatrist/Senior Podiatrist 

• August/September start for three months ++
• Outpatients, high risk feet, complex wound care
• Locum rates & FREE accommodation + travel

Experienced Podiatrists required for role with regional health service, located approximately four hours from Adelaide. You’ll join a medium size allied health team. The role is to start ASAP. Three months ++ in duration.
 
There are several vacancies across two locations. Open to AHP 1, 2 or 3 level options.
 
 
Your caseload will cover:

• Rural generalist caseload. Caseload is predominately outpatients, but includes some inpatients, aged care and paediatrics. May be opportunities for outreach to rural/ remote communities. Caseload would be allocated as per experience.
• You will be will be proficient in high risk wound care (with 30-40 active high-risk wound patients at the site) but would be working in a rural generalist role servicing clients across the age spectrum and across clinical priorities and programs.
• Regional/ rural experience preferred - working with Aboriginal consumers, high risk wound experience.
• Join a multi-disciplinary team including OT, PT, SP, SW, O&P, DT. The Podiatrists work closely with Diabetes Educators, Orthotics & Prosthetics and Wound Nurse. The Podiatry department will soon consistent of 3 contractor/ FIFO staff.
• You will be working in the local community. A car is provided for work purposes. The role will be Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

• Upto $500 reimbursed for travel (with receipts)
• Competitive locum rates in line with experience – PAYG + option for living away from home tax benefits or ABN (up to $100 per hour)

Regional VIC - Podiatrist – regional health service

• Rural Generalist inc:  outpatients & community
• Travel + accommodation available
• Locum rates up to $80 PAYG/$100 ABN

Experienced Podiatrist required for locum based in regional Victoria. The role is to start 31st August, flexible duration for locums - minimum 8 weeks required.
 
You will work alongside a small allied health team. This generalist caseload will cover:

• A mixed caseload of clients from 0-100 years
• Working across outpatients, community, a small amount of aged care & outreach
• You will work alongside a team of other allied health professionals on the team including OT, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Speech Pathologists, Dietitian, Qualified Social Worker, Health Promotion Officer and Allied Health Assistants

 
FREE accommodation available and locum rates up to $80 + super PAYG/$100 ABN. Travel reimbursement also available.

The role involves the provision of podiatry services to clients across the service areas, including community outpatients, acute, subacute, residential aged care and outreach services. The role focuses on providing appropriate services in the right setting, increasing the knowledge and skills of individuals in the community around foot health and mobility, delivery safe and comprehensive podiatric services to our high-risk clients and encourage where appropriate individuals to self-manage their own foot health while promoting health and wellbeing for all clients.
