Disability Support Worker – Casual | SIL

We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual shift opportunities across our clients SIL based in North Lakes

About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting participants with personal care and daily living activities
  
• Medication administration
  
• Manual handling and mobility assistance
  
• Domestic assistance and meal preparation
  
• Supporting participants with behaviours of concern in line with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
  
• Encouraging participation in community, social and recreational activities
  
• Providing support in both one-on-one and shared living environments
  
• Transporting participants using a company vehicle or your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
  
• Providing specialised support to participants with complex care needs
  

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or equivalent)
  
• Previous experience working in SIL, community disability support or complex care
  
• Current Driver’s Licence
  
• Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
  
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  
• Current National Police Check
  
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
  
• Full Australian working rights
  
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disability to achieve their goals and live independently
  

Experience or competency in the following areas is required:

• Stoma care
  
• Diabetes Management
  
• Enteral Feeding Support
  
• Complex Bowel Care
