Compensation: $54,000–$66,500 annually, based on experience + 5% bonus
Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; overtime as needed
Environment: Manufacturing / aerospace / MRO production environment
What They Will Do
The Facilities Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production machinery, plant utilities, and facility equipment. This is a highly hands-on position requiring strong experience across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mills, lathes, compressors, hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, sensors, control panels, and electrical/electronic equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, advanced wiring diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Use diagnostic equipment including:
- Multimeters
- Oscilloscopes
- Ammeters
- Handheld voltage meters
- Diagnose electrical problems such as blown fuses, faulty safety switches, voltage drops, sensors, and control issues.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Work on hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and related components.
- Troubleshoot electronic proportional valves and motion-control systems.
- Maintain plant utilities including air compressors, air dryers, HVAC, plumbing, water, vacuum, gas, and alarm systems.
- Establish PM requirements for new equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Train production operators on basic autonomous maintenance, cleaning, inspections, fluid checks, and daily equipment care.
- Participate in 5S, continuous improvement, and high-performance team initiatives.
- Follow OSHA and plant safety requirements, including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Document repairs, PMs, work orders, labor, parts, and equipment issues.
- Support cross-functional maintenance and improvement projects.
Ideal Candidate
Look for someone with:
- 5+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical + electrical + hydraulic troubleshooting
- Experience maintaining heavy manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs
- Experience using a multimeter
- Ideally hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and ammeters
- Hydraulic pump/motor repair experience
- Pneumatic systems experience
- Experience with PLC/sensors/electronic controls is a plus
- Preventive/predictive maintenance experience
- OSHA/safety knowledge
- Technical school, vocational degree, or equivalent experience

Important: Don't over-index on the word Facilities. A candidate with a strong industrial maintenance background may be a much better fit than someone who primarily maintains buildings/HVAC.
