Cleaners and Laundry Assistants

Collarcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner/Laundry Assistant to join our aged care team. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for residents. You will be responsible for cleaning and laundry services in compliance with health, safety, and aged care standards.

What do you need to have?

• Police Check/NPC: Must be on file, not more than 12 months old, and without convictions.
• Statutory Declarations: Required if a Police Certificate has been applied for but not yet held, or for staff who have lived overseas after age 16.
• NDIS Clearance: Valid and unexpired, within 7 days of placement.
• Experience: Minimum 3 months cleaning experience in aged care or hospitals within Australia.
• Covid Vaccination Record: Full course + 1 booster (generally 3 doses, except Janssen vaccine which requires 2).

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in resident rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Manage laundry services including collection, washing, drying, and distribution.
• Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Support the wellbeing and dignity of residents through a clean and safe environment.
• Work collaboratively with care staff and management to maintain compliance.
