The role plays a key part in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting cycles, and monthly leading estimates, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives.

You will deliver high-quality performance reporting and insights that drive operational accountability and support strategic decision-making, while continuously enhancing reporting standards, developing financial models and dashboards, and championing continuous improvement initiatives across the FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the end-to-end annual budget and forecasting processes for your assigned business area.
  • Prepare Monthly Management Reports, leading estimates and executive-ready analysis.
  • Deliver high quality performance analysis and forward-looking insights, scenario modelling, cost impacts, and performance commentary.
  • Translate operational data into meaningful insights that support strategic decisions.
 Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Operations, Projects, and Corporate leaders, providing financial guidance that drives accountability.
  • Lead cost-performance reviews, identify trends, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in operational and planning meetings to provide proactive commercial insight.
  • Support accountability by ensuring budget holders understand and own their financial performance.
  • Influence cross-functional outcomes through evidence-based analysis and sound commercial judgment.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Deliver month end, JV, and statutory reports within best practice timeframes.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of management reporting, budget, and forecast submissions.
  • Develop and refine financial models, dashboards and reporting templates for clarity and efficiency.
  • Lead or support automation and process-improvement initiatives that streamline the FP&A cycle.
  • Contribute to broader finance system and reporting enhancements.
Leadership, Collaboration & Conduct
  • Take ownership from coordinating Finance’s planning calendar and key reporting deliverables.
  • Operate with autonomy, accuracy and professionalism, building confidence in financial outputs.
  • Support capability development within the finance team and uphold Amplitude Energy’s values.
  • Engage constructively with auditors, JV partners and key stakeholders.
  About You
  • CA / CPA qualified with a Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • 5–8+ years’ experience in FP&A, management reporting or business partnering, ideally in a complex or capital-intensive industry.
  • Proven leadership in budgeting and performance reporting at an executive level.
  • Strong partnership experience with Operations or commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver insight-driven analysis that shapes decisions.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability.
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools such as Power BI.
Attributes
  • Commercially astute, analytically rigorous and highly organised.
  • A confident communicator and influencer who can engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, resilient, collaborative and improvement minded.
