We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist and a Data Science Delivery Manager to join a high-performing government team focused on delivering advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that support critical compliance and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models and data science solutions into production environments.
• Perform data preparation, feature engineering, model development and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Support the integration of data science outcomes into business processes.
• Mentor and develop junior data scientists and analytics team members.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders through high-quality reports and presentations.
• Drive innovation through the application of modern data science, machine learning and AI techniques.

About You

• 5 years’ experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Strong expertise with Azure Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Feature Store and Model Serving.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and/or R.
• Experience deploying and managing models across the full machine learning lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, business analysis and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring team members and promoting data science best practices.
• Exposure to government or highly regulated environments is advantageous.

-Data Scientist Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Data Science Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact data science and machine learning initiatives within a large government environment.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership, you will drive the successful delivery and operationalisation of data science solutions while helping shape a future pipeline of analytics and AI projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of data science and machine learning projects from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
• Translate business needs into technical deliverables and ensure solutions align with operational objectives.
• Manage project planning, agile delivery, testing, release management, training, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and optimisation of machine learning models.
• Develop project roadmaps and support future analytics initiatives.
• Mentor team members and drive knowledge transfer through documentation and coaching.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and project updates.

About You

• 5 years' experience delivering end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proven experience managing technical delivery within data, analytics, or AI-focused projects.
• Strong business analysis capability, including translating complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Feature Store, Databricks Workflows, and Model Serving.
• Understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with data governance, privacy, and ethical AI practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in government or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
