Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Chancery Lane, London – £56,000 Package + HVAP

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting for a leading FM service provider seeking a Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a flagship, multi-tenanted commercial building on Chancery Lane, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer with HVAP status or the ambition to achieve it, working on a site with a strong focus on plant reliability, safety and career development.

Hours of Work:

• Continental shift pattern – 4 on, 4 off
• 07:00–19:00, covering days and nights
  
  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical systems, including distribution boards, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting and power circuits.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs across electrical and associated building services systems.
• Support HV safety and compliance, working in line with LOTO procedures where authorised.
• Monitor the BMS and respond to system alarms.
• Assist with mechanical and HVAC maintenance when required.
• Work within the Permit to Work system and support statutory compliance.
• Oversee specialist subcontractors carrying out electrical works.
• Maintain site logbooks, RAMS and accurate maintenance records.
• Keep plant rooms and equipment clean, safe and operational.
• Complete near-miss reports and maintain high health and safety standards.
  
  

Package:

• £48,000 basic salary
• £5,000 shift allowance
• £3,000 HVAP payment

Requirements:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• HVAP status, or a genuine willingness to work towards it.
• Strong experience in commercial building services maintenance.
• Good knowledge of BMS and CAFM systems; Maximo experience is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and fault-find under pressure.
• A proactive, safety-conscious approach with strong communication skills.
