HR Business Partner

We are looking for a dynamic and organized self-starter for our HR Business Partner (HRBP). The key client group is Sales and Sales Engineer Divisions.  As an HR Business Partner, you will provide guidance, advice and assistance to internal customers on HR programs such as recruitment, performance review, training, HR services, and so on. 

What you will do

• Responsible for supporting the executions for all levels of administration of human resources programs such as recruitment, performance review, training, HR services, and so on.
• Business partnering: Provides support to managers within Sales/Sales Engineer Divisions. Administers performance management processes. Manages Topgrading and retention efforts throughout area of responsibility. Identifies potential employee compensation issues throughout.  Looks to more senior team members for guidance.
• Recruiting: Tracks variable headcount and positions requisitions. Initiate, implement and manage effective sourcing strategies to support all recruiting and ensure the bar is continually maintained and raised.
• Provides additional support and deliverable to internal customers.
• Should proactively identify the improvement areas and deliver the solution in the HR field. 
• Be an employee advocate, responsible for reporting any issues related to employees to the HR Director
• Facilitate performance management:  Annual performance review process, the annual grant process, succession planning process and other employee development programs for the client groups
• Employee Relations: Assists managers on resolving low-risk employee relations issues.  Looks to more senior team members for guidance and escalation on higher risk issues.
• Training and Development:  Plan/implement training sessions to Sales/Sales Engineer Divisions.
• Other ad hoc tasks

Requirements

What we look for

• Successful HRBP candidates will have theoretical HR background such as people development, motivation, compensation design, and Japanese labor law and a true hands-on experience in similar industries, such as IT, Security and SaaS.  
• Experience at the company with 100 or more employees will be a strong plus. 
• Working experience as HR Generalist (or HR Business Partner) or have experience in a few different HR functions.  Highly focused HR specialist, (such as C&B expert) will not be suitable for this position.  
• Has a few specific areas of strength, and looking for the opportunity to expand areas of experience is welcomed. (ex:  2 years of payroll, 2 years of training & development, etc.) 
• Competent at data collection and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of team/department he/she supports (business and employees)
• Competent in the company’s benefit programs and compensation philosophy, and can explain at a high level to employees.
• Basic understanding of strategic organization objectives.
• Ability to be exposed to confidential and sensitive employee information and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
• Working experience in related jobs and/or HR’s client division is a plus.
• Business Level  both Japanese and English (Speaking, writing and reading)
• Total 5+ years minimum business experience.
• 3+ years minimum in HR experience
• People management experience will be a plus.
• Global company experience will be a plus.
