A leading investment and financial services organisation is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to identify high-impact opportunities for AI and turn them into practical, production-ready solutions.
This is a highly visible role working directly with teams across the business, including operations, finance, legal, executive support, and investment functions.
The opportunity
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand how work gets done, identify opportunities where AI can deliver meaningful efficiency gains, and then build solutions from idea through deployment.
Key responsibilities
• Partner with business teams to identify and prioritise AI opportunities
• Design and build end-to-end AI workflows and applications
• Translate ambiguous business processes into reliable, scalable systems
• Work with modern LLMs, agents, automation, and AI tooling
• Develop intuitive solutions that people genuinely want to use
• Balance speed and experimentation with security, reliability, and governance
• Collaborate with the wider AI and engineering teams to improve reusable capabilities
• Document solutions and enable teams to operate and extend them independently
What we’re looking for
• Good working experience building and shipping software or data/AI products
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern frontend development
• Strong product thinking and user-centred design instincts
• Practical experience with modern AI/LLM tooling
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Experience with AI agents, tool orchestration, evaluation frameworks, financial services, or production-grade security and reliability would be advantageous.
Location: New York City
Working arrangement: Fully office-based ( remote all of August)
