Registered Nurse - Company Health & Wellness

Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a full-time temp contract opportunity which will likely transition to temp-to-hire, part-time 24 hours per week, with Yoh’s well-established client located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
 

This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. Duties will consist of first-aid, basic walk-in care (minor acute care like colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.), assisting with surveillance exams, responding to medical emergencies, and a lot of computer work.
--> SHIFTS: anticipating to be temporary, Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm and if chosen for the long-term opening, will cut down to 24 hours per week, 7:30am to 4:00pm. 


Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of Iowa
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Preferred experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections or Family Medicine type setting
• Recent clinical experience and computer literate

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Provide wellness materials/information
• Medical surveillance exams (ie hearing conservation)
• Provide medical testing such as EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Refer to higher level of care
• Respond to emergencies and provide emergency medical care for employees onsite

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Ability to start ASAP and work Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Previous experience using EPIC a plus!
• BLS certified (hands on courses only - strictly online not accepted)
• Yearly TB test or QuantiFERON Gold
• Must have proof of US Citizenship (ie valid US Passport or original US Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging
