Apply directA leading US-based global financial services group is looking for a talented & bilingual Data Architecture Lead to drive enterprise data architecture across its Japan group and global organization.
Responsibilities:
-Lead the enterprise data architecture strategy, design and standardization, including architecture principles, patterns and reference models
-Design and manage enterprise conceptual and logical data models
-Design modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, data marts and data pipelines
-Design data integration using ETL, data streaming and APIs
-Review key design documents for new data initiatives and ensure alignment with the target architecture
-Establish data governance, data access and usage policies in line with financial industry requirements (privacy, audit)
-Ensure data quality, accuracy, reliability, security and privacy
-Work closely with the CIO, business executives, and global architecture teams in Japan and the US
-Share data management best practices and mentor data engineers and junior architects
Required Skills:
-10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling and enterprise data platform design
-Hands-on experience designing modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
-Strong knowledge of data integration, governance, metadata management, data quality and security
-Experience with metadata management, data quality or MDM platforms (implementation or system owner)
-Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives and align business and technology stakeholders

Our client is a leading US-based global financial services group. Its Japan strategic IT company supports the group's business strategy in close cooperation with the US headquarters. The Architecture team is a small group of senior architects responsible for enterprise architecture and company-wide transformation.
Location: Tokyo
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flextime available, core time 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Working Style: Hybrid (about 70% remote, according to company policy)
