Position Summary
We’re hiring an Assembler to build electro-mechanical power generation equipment (diesel and natural gas). In this role, you’ll validate materials, follow work instructions and electrical/mechanical drawings, assemble products to specification, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality and production standards.
Electrical Assembler Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble electro-mechanical generator equipment per work orders, drawings, schematics, and SOPs
- Assemble/maintain/adjust electrical control panels, breaker panels, and transformers
- Install wiring, harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, power supplies, labels, and hardware into chassis
- Route, bundle, crimp, terminate, and inspect wiring; perform rework as needed
- Use hand tools and power/air tools; operate overhead cranes to move products/equipment
- Measure and verify dimensions/tolerances using gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque equipment, etc.
- Solder electrical components and fasten parts to assemblies/subassemblies
- Troubleshoot basic electrical/mechanical issues (may include PLC-related troubleshooting)
- Pull parts inventory, drill/tap/ream holes, inspect parts for defects, and correct issues
- Support line clearance, cleaning, and basic maintenance; follow lean/continuous improvement practices
- Follow all safety rules and good manufacturing practices (GMPs); other duties as assigned
Electrical Assembler Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years’ experience in a mechanical/manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality; flexible to work overtime as needed
- Good communication skills (English/Spanish bilingual a plus)
Electrical Assembler Physical / Work Environment
- Stand for long periods; frequent bending/stooping/crouching and working around the product from different angles
- Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs
- PPE and steel-toed shoes required
- Warehouse environment (non-air-conditioned/heated) with possible outdoor exposure; may include dust, noise, fumes, temperature/humidity changes
Electrical Assembler Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
Must be open to working overtime until 4:30 and some Saturdays
