General Operator - Evening Shift

Gi Group Recruitment are searching for experienced and enthusiastic General Operators to join our client based in Galway City on their evening shift. Our client is a global leader in Healthcare Packaging with world-class reputation for quality and service.

What tasks does this role include?

• Adhere to safety procedures at all times. Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Safety Officer and Production Supervisor.
• Responsible for operation of contract pack, re-work, assembly production line where applicable – duties as specified by supervisor.
• Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to upkeep a level of personal/work hygiene in the cleanrooms and general production floor by wearing appropriate clean protective garments as per Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures.
• Label generation (where applicable)
• IT – Online Folders, NQMS, Syspro (where applicable)
• In the instance where operators are working in packing externally then the following is required:
• Transport of goods to stores using pallet truck when required.
• Ensuring correct packaging is used on the product.
• Operation of Cello-Wrap machine
• Generation of AWM Barcode labels.

What will you bring to the role?

• Previous experience in the Medical Device or relevant production industries is preferred
• At minimum a Leaving Certificate or an equivalent standard of education
• A positive work ethic with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to understand and complete batch documentation accurately and to a consistent high standard
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
