Senior Project Manager – Low Voltage Technologies

Next Level Technician is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Technologies for a direct-hire opportunity in Lexington, KY.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a proven Project Manager with a strong background in structured cabling, fiber, physical security, audiovisual, wireless, and critical low voltage systems. The Senior Project Manager will oversee multi-million-dollar projects from initial planning and kickoff through field execution and closeout, with responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage low voltage and technology projects from planning and scheduling through final closeout

• Lead project kickoff meetings and conduct project site walks

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans

• Manage multi-million-dollar projects while maintaining profitability, quality, and schedule

• Coordinate with field supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

• Oversee workforce planning and performance of installation teams

• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and shop drawing requirements

• Maintain proactive communication with clients and project stakeholders

• Track project costs, profitability, forecasting, and change orders

• Review and approve invoices and timesheets

• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and quality standards

• Conduct site inspections and monitor field progress

• Oversee project documentation, including as-built drawings and certification reports

• Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and long-term client growth

Low Voltage Systems

Ideal candidates will have experience managing projects involving several of the following:

• Structured cabling

• Copper and fiber optic systems

• Grounding

• Access control

• CCTV / video surveillance

• Intrusion detection

• Audiovisual systems

• Wireless connectivity

• Critical low voltage infrastructure

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of project management experience in construction, telecommunications, or low voltage systems

• Strong technical background in low voltage construction, including copper, fiber, and grounding

• Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar projects and field teams

• Strong understanding of project budgets, cost tracking, profitability, and change management

• Experience managing projects from kickoff through final closeout

• Strong workforce planning and team leadership experience

• Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-management skills

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and MS Project

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent professional experience

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP

• RTPM

• RCDD

• BICSI Technician certification

• OSHA 30

• Safety leadership training

• Data center, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, hospitality, technology, retail, or other large commercial/industrial project experience

Position Details

• Location: Lexington, KY

• Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire

• Primarily office-based with regular project site visits

• Travel as required based on project needs

• Occasional after-hours work may be required
