Shift/Schedule - Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime/Weekend Work: None anticipated
The hiring manager is looking for an Associate Scientist with strong molecular biology laboratory experience, specifically someone who has hands-on experience performing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) library preparation. This is the single most important technical qualification.
The ideal candidate is someone who is consistent, reliable, detail-oriented, and produces high-quality bench work with minimal mistakes. Because this is a busy and crowded laboratory environment, the candidate must also communicate effectively with teammates and work collaboratively.
Candidates with experience supporting RNA sequencing workflows, particularly RNA-seq library preparation, are highly preferred. Experience with single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics is also valuable.
Histology experience is preferred but is considered more flexible than NGS experience. The candidate should at minimum have some exposure to working with tissue sections, but they do not need an extensive pathology background.
Fresh Master s graduates are acceptable. Candidates with a Bachelor s degree should have approximately two years of relevant bench or industry experience. Fresh PhDs may also be considered, but candidates with significant post-PhD industry experience will likely be viewed as overqualified.
