Counselling Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Counselling Manager to lead a high-performing team within this globally recognised organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician and leader looking to progress their career while helping shape the future of mental health service delivery.

Working closely with the Associate Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a team of counsellors, ensuring exceptional clinical standards, governance and service delivery across a diverse client portfolio. As Counselling Manager, you will play a key role in supporting clinical excellence while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture within a rapidly growing international organisation.

What this position includes:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of experienced counsellors
• Deliver coaching, supervision and ongoing professional development
• Ensure high-quality clinical practice and governance standards
• Monitor quality assurance, compliance and clinical documentation
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new clinicians
• Work closely with operational leaders to continuously improve service delivery
• Produce and analyse clinical performance reporting
• Manage escalations, client feedback and complex clinical matters
• Contribute to ongoing growth and innovation across the EAP service.

Successful applicant will have:

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or a related discipline
• Current registration or membership with the appropriate professional body (AHPRA, ACA or PACFA)
• Previous leadership or management experience within an EAP or comparable mental health setting
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management and quality assurance
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing clinical teams
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
• High level of computer literacy and experience with clinical documentation systems
