An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the Gastroenterology Unit within the progressive and expanding Hospital and Health Service. The Role
As Specialist – Gastroenterology, you will provide high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and endoscopic services within a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
You will also play an important role in:

• Teaching and supervision within a strong Basic Physician Training (BPT) program
• Medical student education through links with James Cook University
• Clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
• Supporting and mentoring junior medical staff

The department offers exposure to a broad range of complex and diverse gastroenterology presentations across a large regional referral network.

Requirements
Applicants must hold:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Gastroenterology or equivalent
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for specialist registration
• Strong clinical and endoscopy experience
• A commitment to teaching, teamwork, and patient-centred care
