Job Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves building facilities, utilities, and supporting equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations in a chiller manufacturing and service environment. This role supports facility infrastructure, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and other plant utility systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; inspect and repair building infrastructure, including walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and general facility assets.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and water systems; support HVAC, ventilation, and industrial cooling systems.
• Monitor utilities and maintain generators, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment; assist with equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests; coordinate inspections and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Follow OSHA, environmental, company safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements; conduct safety inspections and support emergency preparedness programs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers, monitor work quality and compliance, and assist with quotations and maintenance service contracts.
• Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving improvements, equipment upgrades, and reliability enhancements; support facility projects, cost reduction, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent vocational training in facility maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical technology, HVAC/refrigeration, or industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller-related environment, including building systems, utilities, and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and chilled water systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; experience with pumps, motors, compressors, cooling towers, and generators.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals; proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Preferences:

• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of 120V, 208V, and 480V electrical systems.
• Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements 
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency call-in support may be required. Regular shift and travel requirements: Pending information.
