Senior Designer | Womenswear

As Senior Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating commercially successful collections, leading product development from concept through to production while mentoring a small design team. Working closely with the Design Manager, you'll combine creativity with commercial thinking to deliver innovative products that resonate with customers and drive business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop seasonal apparel collections from concept through to production.
• Research local and international trends, analyse competitor activity and identify commercial opportunities.
• Develop seasonal colour palettes, fabrications, trims, graphics and branding elements.
• Work closely with offshore manufacturers to manage sampling, fittings, approvals and production.
• Collaborate with Production to achieve quality, costing and delivery objectives.
• Analyse sales performance and customer feedback to refine future ranges.
• Present collections and product strategies to senior leadership.
• Maintain accurate product information and technical documentation.
• Partner with Marketing to ensure product stories are effectively communicated.
• Mentor and support Design Assistants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.

About you
You'll be an experienced apparel designer who understands how to balance creativity with commercial outcomes.

You'll bring

• 5+ years' experience in apparel design and product development.
• A tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Product Development.
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims and production processes.
• Experience working with offshore suppliers and managing the development lifecycle.
• Excellent trend forecasting and market research capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior designers.
