Position Overview

We are seeking two contract Learning Content Audit Specialists to support a large-scale audit of enterprise learning content. This role will focus on reviewing, organizing, and improving a portfolio of 600 training courses to ensure content is current, high-quality, accessible, and properly owned.

The position may include making minor content updates such as formatting changes, corrections, and simple adjustments; however, it does not involve full instructional design, content redevelopment, or course creation.

This is a highly detail-oriented role ideal for professionals who enjoy content auditing, data management, process improvement, and driving large-scale initiatives to completion.


Key Responsibilities

Learning Content Audit

  • Review and update course data within a centralized tracking system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate course ownership, course details, review dates, and associated metadata.
  • Evaluate learning content for relevance, quality, accessibility, and business value using established audit criteria.
  • Identify outdated, duplicate, incomplete, or inaccurate content.
  • Recommend appropriate actions, including retaining, updating, consolidating, or retiring content.

Documentation & Tracking

  • Maintain detailed audit records and documentation to support decision-making.
  • Track findings, recommendations, remediation activities, and final outcomes.
  • Ensure all updates and decisions are accurately documented within the audit process.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Partner with content owners to resolve information gaps and obtain required updates.
  • Follow up on outstanding actions and monitor progress through completion.
  • Prepare supporting materials for stakeholder reviews and approval discussions.

Content Maintenance

  • Perform minor content updates and corrections when needed.
  • Ensure learning content adheres to established standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Support overall content governance and quality improvement efforts.

Deliverables

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate and current course inventory data.
  • Completing comprehensive content audit reviews with documented recommendations.
  • Tracking updates, decisions, and remediation activities across a portfolio of 600 courses.
  • Supporting stakeholder review and final content disposition decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Training Operations, Training Coordination, Instructional Design, or LMS Administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience managing large datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply consistent review standards.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a complex corporate environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting content audits, LMS cleanup initiatives, or course migration projects.
  • Familiarity with eLearning standards such as SCORM.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience working with enterprise learning management systems (LMS).
