Apply directMERITUS are recruiting for an Immigration Specialist to join our client on a long-term contract from their site in Filton. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 60% onsite attendance and will require candidates to undergo BPSS clearance prior to starting.

This position operates on a standard 35-hour week across 4.5 days, working between 07:00 and 19:00 subject to business requirements. Occasional travel may be required.
As an Immigration Specialist, you will provide expert guidance and support on UK immigration matters, ensuring compliance with immigration legislation whilst supporting employees, candidates and stakeholders through a variety of immigration processes. You will act as a key point of contact for immigration-related queries and work closely with external providers, HR teams and business stakeholders to ensure efficient management of immigration cases.
You will be responsible for coordinating visa applications, supporting sponsorship activities, managing immigration compliance requirements and maintaining oversight of visa renewals and right-to-work processes. This role requires a strong understanding of UK immigration legislation alongside excellent stakeholder management and advisory skills.
Skillset/experience required:
What can you bring to the role?
- Strong experience within UK immigration, immigration compliance or global mobility
- Experience providing immigration advice and guidance to employees and stakeholders
- Knowledge of visas, sponsorship and right-to-work requirements
- Experience managing relationships with external immigration providers and government bodies
- Understanding of inbound UK immigration processes
- Experience coordinating visa applications, renewals and sponsorship activities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with external organisations and professional bodies
- Strong administrative and case management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple immigration cases simultaneously
- Diploma, certification or significant experience in UK immigration is highly desirable
- Degree or qualification in Labour Law would be advantageous
