Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Snowflake environments, including handling support tickets for access requests and user provisioning.
- Monitor Snowflake costs and usage through dashboards and resource monitors, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Handle deployments and releases from platforms like GitHub.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support ETL/ELT processes.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide production support for Snowflake and related data platforms.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of IT experience with exposure to cloud data platforms, databases, or data engineering environments.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, Python, and AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with Git/GitHub for code versioning and deployment processes, and a foundational knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and technical documentation.
