Painter & Decorator

Barker Ross Recruitment is currently looking for 2 experienced Painters to work on a student accommodation refurbishment project in Wembley

Role Overview

The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out internal painting and redecoration works across student accommodation rooms and communal areas. The role requires painters who can work efficiently, maintain a good standard of finish and leave completed areas clean and tidy.

Key Responsibilities

• Internal painting and redecoration of student accommodation rooms and communal areas

• Preparation of walls, ceilings, doors, frames and other surfaces before painting

• Filling, sanding and making good surfaces where required

• Applying emulsion and gloss finishes to a good standard

• Cutting in neatly around edges, fixtures and fittings

• Working efficiently to meet daily room completion targets

• Protecting floors, furniture and fixtures from paint splashes and damage

• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the day

• Cleaning up completed areas and leaving rooms ready for the next stage of works

• Following site instructions and health and safety requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter on refurbishment or construction projects

• Experience working within student accommodation, hotels, residential or similar refurbishment environments is advantageous

• Good attention to detail and ability to achieve a clean finish

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Own basic painting tools, including brushes and rollers

• Own whites and full PPE

• CSCS card is not required

• 2 recent work references required

• Reliable and available for the full duration of the project

Project Details

Location: Wembley, HA9
Start: Monday 24th August
Duration: Until 11th September
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Paid Hours: 8 hours per day
Rate: £21.00 per hour
Payment: Weekly pay

Paint and all other materials will be provided on site.
