Public Sector People is partnering with a local council in Sydney to recruit for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful community initiatives while working within a collaborative and forward thinking council environment.
  
In this role, you will:
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing engaging communication strategies
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans
  • Manage and monitor engagement activities, ensuring effective communication across all channels
  • Analyse and evaluate engagement outcomes to measure success and inform future strategies
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Do you have:
  • Proven experience in community engagement, consultation, and communications.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities, showing cultural awareness and empathy.
  • Project management and research capabilities.
  • Desirable - Local government experience and IAP2 certificate
