Our client is a leading Federal Government intelligence and technology organisation responsible for delivering critical geospatial and intelligence capabilities that support Australia's national interests. Operating within a highly secure environment, they manage a diverse portfolio of mission-critical systems and technology platforms that enable the collection, analysis, and dissemination of vital information.
Due to continued growth and investment in capability uplift initiatives, they are seeking experienced PMO Business Analysts to join a high-performing Product Management Office supporting strategic technology and business outcomes.
About the Role
As a PMO Business Analyst, you will work closely with Product Managers, technical teams, and key stakeholders to assess current-state capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape future technology roadmaps.
Working within a complex ICT environment, you will play a key role in supporting informed decision-making, analysing business needs, and ensuring solutions align with broader organisational objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Business Analyst with a proven ability to work across complex ICT environments and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus extensions

Our client is not looking to upgrade an existing clearance for this position. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Investigating and analysing ICT operational requirements, issues, and opportunities.
- Eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Developing recommendations and solution options to support business outcomes.
- Contributing to the selection and application of business analysis methodologies and frameworks.
- Supporting business cases, benefits assessments, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement, workshops, consultation, and requirements gathering activities.
- Producing high-quality business analysis artefacts and documentation.
- Working collaboratively with Product Managers and project teams to support capability delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Business Analyst with a proven ability to work across complex ICT environments and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within large-scale ICT programs or projects.
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience identifying business improvement opportunities and developing solution recommendations.
- The ability to analyse complex business problems and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience working within project, program, or Product Management Office environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working within Defence or National Security environments.
- GEOINT or intelligence-related domain experience.
- Cloud migration or cloud transformation project experience.
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.
