The role
In this position, you’ll provide high-quality positive behaviour support to participants across the community including schools & homes. Working closely with the team leads and a broader multidisciplinary team, you’ll focus on practical, person-centred outcomes for participants and the people around them.
Your day-to-day will include completing behavioural assessments, creating and reviewing behaviour support plans, implementing evidence-based strategies, and coaching caregivers and support staff to build confidence and consistency. You’ll keep thorough documentation, contribute ideas to improve service, advocate for participant choice and rights and collaborate with families and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Behaviour Support, ABA, or a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Strong functional behaviour assessment and evidence-based planning skills
- Current NDIS Commission Behaviour Support Practitioner Registration
