Hours: 8:6 / 7:7 FIFO roster (days & nights)
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Automotive Mechanical Technicians to support maintenance activities at a major power generation facility in the Pilbara. Working within a high-performing maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of power generation assets and associated plant equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically minded tradespeople with experience in power generation, gas or diesel engines, or heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute routine and major mechanical maintenance activities across power generation assets
• Operate and maintain gas and diesel reciprocating engines
• Maintain mechanical balance of plant equipment
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with planned schedules
• Minimise operational disruptions and maintain reliable power supply
• Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental requirements
• Follow SAP maintenance strategies and support proactive maintenance initiatives
• Assist with fault finding, repairs, inspections, and equipment reliability improvements
Mandatory Requirements
• Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Experience maintaining gas or diesel reciprocating engines and associated plant equipment
• Experience within power generation, heavy industry, mining, or similar environments
• Current WA C Class Manual Driver's Licence
• Understanding of maintenance work management processes and practices
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts in a FIFO environment
Preferred
• SAP experience at tradesperson level
• Experience with LM6000 Gas Turbines and associated balance of plant
• Experience with Solar Gas Turbines and associated balance of plant
• Experience servicing gas systems for Type B gas appliances
• Supervised Gas Fitter Qualification
