Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead embedded within the Risk team, driving the design and implementation of small-scale applications and proofs of concept.
- Risk Infrastructure Development: Build robust, scalable systems and tools that power risk infrastructure, analytics, and decision-ready reporting.
- AI & Workflow Integration: Partner closely with risk analysts and investment teams to enhance their day-to-day use of AI, converting prototypes and research artifacts into technically sound, production-ready applications.
- Data Analysis & Processing: Develop efficient, robust code to process and analyze large financial datasets to support tactical investment decisions and risk strategy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to articulate complex technical ideas and deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with deep expertise in Python (including libraries such as pandas and NumPy).
- Strong SQL skills, with experience manipulating large financial datasets and working with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin).
- Experience in front-end development and UX design, with a preference for Pythonic front-end and visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly, Dash).
- Proficiency with Version Control (Git) and Agentic Programming tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude).
- Solid understanding of financial markets and the multi-asset investment risk domain (e.g., fixed income, private equity).
- Practical experience in developing and maintaining models, tools, and reports that showcase an understanding of quantitative techniques, statistics, and econometrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage your own time effectively, and partner with business teams to deliver high-quality code.
