Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5+ year's experience, ideally within structural steel, fabrication, engineering or construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account.
Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
- Prepare tenders, estimates, BOQs and cost plans.
- Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Manage variations, valuations, claims and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial records.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ year's Quantity Surveying experience.
- Degree/qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
- Structural steel, fabrication or construction experience preferred.
- Strong Excel and estimating software skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
- Commercially focused with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
