About the role
An established legal firm is seeking a Trust Accounts Officer to provide accounting and administrative support within a small Trust Accounting team. Reporting closely to the Trust Accountant, this position is responsible for ensuring the accurate administration of trust monies and supporting day-to-day trust accounting operations.
Key responsibilities
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing trust receipts and payments
  • Administration of controlled monies and trust accounts
  • Opening, maintaining and closing trust bank accounts
  • Processing trust-to-office transfers
  • Maintaining trust records, registers and documentation
  • Preparing client trust statements
  • General trust accounting and administrative support
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in previous bookkeeping, accounts administration or accounting support
  • Strong capability in attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a small team environment.
