Structural MIG Welder

JV Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Structural MIG Welder for an ongoing position with a well-established prefab manufacturer based on Brisbane’s Northside.

This role will see you working in a modern factory environment, completing critical structural welds for prefabricated residential builds. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring structural integrity prior to modules being delivered to site.

This position predominantly involves welding Galvanised Steel. Demonstrated experience working with galvanised materials is essential.

Your Responsibilities

• Structural MIG welding on prefabricated steel components
• Welding in all positions
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working independently and unsupervised
• Conducting quality checks and inspecting weld integrity
• Final sign-off on completed structural builds prior to dispatch

To Be Successful You Will Need

• Certificate III in Welding or Engineering Fabrication (minimum requirement)
• Proven experience welding galvanised steel
• Ability to weld in all positions
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Manufacturing or factory-based welding experience (highly desirable)
• Immediate availability
