Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
- Facilitate practical cooking classes while maintaining a safe and organised kitchen environment
- Teach students food preparation techniques, nutrition, food safety and sustainability
- Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Participate in collaborative planning and ongoing professional learning
- Contribute to the broader school community
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Relevant teaching qualification with Food Technology teaching methods
- Experience or interest in teaching Secondary Food Technology
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to student-centred learning and wellbeing
- Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school, or willingness to obtain accreditation, is advantageous but not essential
