Project Description:
Our client, an innovative company in the aerospace industry, is looking for an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) to support the development and scaling of assembly, integration and test operations for the next generation of satellites. You will work closely with design, test and manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth transition from product development to full-scale production.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the assembly, integration and testing of satellites and subsystems
- Develop and document manufacturing processes, assembly procedures and work instructions
- Design mechanical and electrical tooling, fixtures and production aids
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances while driving continuous process improvements
- Recommend improvements to manufacturing facilities, tooling and production equipment
- Support the transition of products from R&D into serial production
- Train and support production technicians
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) recommendations to engineering teams
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective improvement actions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product introduction
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant professional experience in manufacturing engineering or new product introduction
- Experience assembling and integrating complex optical or electromechanical systems, ideally in a cleanroom environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent SolidWorks skills for tooling and fixture design
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration and testing
- Strong attention to detail and technical documentation skills
- Excellent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
- Experience within the aerospace or other high-tech manufacturing industries
Framework Conditions:
- Location: Berlin, Germany (100% on-site)
- Duration: Long-term assignment
- Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
