Area Manager ( Ruminant / Northern Ireland )

FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager for a leading animal nutrition company.

If you are based in Northern Ireland or boarder counties and possess 2/3 years ruminant experience we would very interested in hearing from you.

The primary function of this role is to provide sales and technical support to progressive dairy and beef farmers in Northern Ireland and boarder counties.

Responsibilities:

1. Full responsibility for business development and profitability for our animal feed product lines delivered through our existing customers and prospecting for new customers. These include
   1. Moist feeds
   2. Liquid’s feed blends;
   3. Minerals/Performance Products plus a range of forage seeds
   4. Other innovative feed solutions currently under development.
2. Deliver product portfolio, turnover and profit growth.
3. Ensure routine and timely credit control activities.
4. Manage relationships with key customers and expand customer base.
5. Maintain excellent knowledge of Irish animal feed sector including market trends, challenges, opportunities, impact of external/international factors on the Irish sector etc.
6. Ensure Group senior management are kept up to date on business performance, activities, prospects and challenges.
7. Develop an extensive network of contacts amongst customers, influencers and regulatory authorities. Ensure relevant customer contacts / communications are updated on CRM system.
8. Liaise with other team members (logistics, marketing, finance etc.)

Qualifications:

• An Agri focused degree is desirable but not essential.
• 3 years commercial experience with experience in diet formulation and nutrition.
• Must have a familiarity with and keen interest in nutrition.
