We're looking for a QA Analyst with 2–3 years' experience to join a growing payments technology team working on Android POS terminals and payment applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in the payments space, with experience in POS environments considered a strong advantage.

Working as part of an Agile team, you'll help ensure the quality, reliability and certification of payment terminal solutions through functional, integration and backend testing.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, execute and maintain functional, regression and integration test cases
  • Test payment applications and transaction flows across POS devices
  • Validate backend services, APIs and payment processing workflows
  • Support defect investigation, triage and resolution with development teams
  • Query databases using SQL to validate test results
  • Contribute to automation and continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
  • Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software

What we're looking for

  • Around 2–3 years' experience in Software QA or Test Analysis
  • Experience testing backend systems and REST APIs
  • Good SQL skills and experience validating data
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Git
  • Exposure to automation frameworks (Cucumber, REST Assured or similar) is desirable
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript or TypeScript is beneficial

Nice to have

  • Experience testing POS terminals or payment applications
  • Understanding of EMV transaction flows or payment processing
  • Exposure to Level 3 (L3) certification
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitLab or CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud-native or microservices environments

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • ISTQB Foundation certification is desirable
