Senior Project Manager

As the Senior Project Manager, you will manage the larger and more complex projects, mentor the other Project Managers and support the Regional General Manager in a 2IC capacity.
  
This role is part of the Senior Leadership team, and you will work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the business is profitable and has sufficient backlog to meet current and future budget expectations.
  
The main purpose of this role is to ensure projects are progressed to satisfactory completion within guidelines and constraints of contract specifications, industry standards, quality and budget. The goal is to ensure all projects are planned, executed and delivered in accordance with the agreed methodology, project timelines and within budget. This includes acquiring materials, subcontractors and coordinating the efforts of self-delivery site team (trade staff) and subcontractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  
Direct reports will include: Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Foreman, Leading Hands and Site based Trade Staff (On Projects that you are Managing)
  
You will be / have:  

• Minimum Engineering degree or relevant construction industry experience
• Tertiary qualification in HVAC Mechanical trade
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Building Services Contracting
• Current NZ Drivers Licence
• Able to demonstrate your Project Management and leadership experience
• Experience of managing both subcontractors and/ or directly employed trade staff
• Intimate knowledge and experience in the HVAC Mechanical industry with good knowledge of commissioning complex projects
• Sound knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations
