The Role
As Senior Climate Associate, you will support Mighty Earth’s Protein Transition Team to deliver campaigns across East Asia to reduce agricultural methane emissions and transform food systems. Working closely with campaign, communications, and policy colleagues, you will help advance strategies that encourage regenerative agriculture and accelerate the shift towards plant-based proteins.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting regional campaigns to reduce agricultural methane emissions.
- Coordinating regional campaign activities, stakeholder meetings, and events.
- Producing reports, scorecards, press releases, and campaign materials.
- Conducting research into corporate climate policies and food systems.
- Monitoring regional policy and industry developments.
Skills Required
You are passionate about tackling climate change and transforming global food systems. You enjoy working in fast-paced campaign environments and are motivated by creating meaningful environmental and social impact. You bring strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and partners across different cultures and regions.
Your background will ideally include at least three years’ professional experience in advocacy, campaigning, public affairs, grassroots organising, or related roles, within environmental protection, climate change, social justice, sustainability, or human rights.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong project management, organization and time management abilities.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
