The Opportunity
You’re a technical accountant who wants more than maintaining existing processes. You want to design them. This is a brand-new Group Accountant role reporting directly to the General Manager – Finance in a multi-entity group that’s scaling quickly.
You’ll own the design and delivery of the group consolidation process, produce consolidated reporting for the Board and funders, and take a leading role in the Group’s technical accounting workstreams. You’ll also own covenant monitoring and funder reporting – work that sits at the centre of how the business is financed and governed.
Because the Group is on a steep growth curve, you’ll get involved in future workstreams – supporting due diligence, funding applications, acquisition onboarding, cash planning and systems improvements. You’ll shape how group reporting works as the business scales, rather than inheriting a rigid structure.

The Role
You’ll be the technical backbone of group reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain the group consolidation process across the Property Group, Ventures businesses and other entities – including intercompany eliminations and accurate entity-level data feeds
- Produce consolidated Group financial information for Board reporting, banks and funders, annual financial statements and funding applications
- Lead the technical accounting workstream for IFRS adoption – policy assessment, transition adjustments, disclosures and financial statement compilation
- Own the accuracy of covenant reporting to banks and funders, maintain the covenant register, monitor ongoing compliance and escalate risks promptly
- Develop and maintain the Group consolidated budget model and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and systems
- Support the transition of routine statutory accounts and tax compliance to external advisors, reviewing deliverables and protecting quality and timelines
- Contribute to technical and commercial projects as they arise – due diligence, funding applications, acquisition onboarding, cash planning and forecasting
You’re a technically strong CA who enjoys building processes and solving complex accounting problems. You’ll bring:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification, plus 3+ years’ experience in audit and assurance at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Hands-on experience of group consolidation, intercompany eliminations and multi-entity structures, with direct exposure to IFRS application and/or review
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to design and implement new processes from scratch rather than only operate existing ones
- Strong stakeholder management – comfortable working with management, external advisors, banks/funders and non-accountants
- High attention to detail and technical rigour, balanced with the adaptability needed in a growing business
- Clear written and verbal communication
