Change Manager – Data Transformation

6 - month day rate contract | Melbourne | Hybrid working - 3 days in office

Davidson is partnering with a leading Australian organisation to appoint an experienced Change Manager for a critical enterprise data transformation program.

The program is entering a high-risk delivery phase as the organisation prepares to migrate from a legacy data warehouse to a modern cloud-based platform. This role will sit at the intersection of business and technology, helping stakeholders understand the changes, build confidence in the new data environment and prepare for the transition of reporting, analytics and operational processes.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded Change Manager who is comfortable working closely with data engineers, architects, analysts and senior business stakeholders.

The role

You will lead change and business readiness activities across the data migration, Tableau reporting transition and move into business-as-usual operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering stakeholder engagement, communications and business readiness plans.
• Assessing the impact of data, reporting and process changes across affected business areas.
• Working with technical teams to translate complex data changes into clear business impacts and actions.
• Coordinating readiness for Tableau report migration, data validation, release activities and cutover.
• Supporting training, knowledge transfer, operational transition and post-release hypercare.

About you

You will be a confident stakeholder manager who can build credibility across both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable interrogating information and able to identify when data, reporting or readiness activities do not align.

You will ideally bring:

• Significant change management experience within complex technology or transformation programs.
• Strong experience leading stakeholder engagement, communications and business readiness activities.
• Exposure to data warehouse transformations, data migration, analytics or reporting initiatives.
• An understanding of Tableau, Snowflake, SQL, data structures or source-to-target mapping.
• Experience supporting operational transition, adoption, training and BAU readiness.

You may come from a traditional change management background or have worked in a business readiness, transformation or technology-facing role with strong change management capability. The ability to influence stakeholders and simplify technical information for business audiences is essential.\
