We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a large and complex organisation for a short-term contract assignment based in Greensborough.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a large and complex organisation for a short-term contract assignment based in Greensborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR generalist who enjoys partnering with leaders, providing trusted advice on complex employee matters, and delivering key people-focused projects that enhance organisational capability and employee experience.
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide specialist HR and organisational development advice across a broad range of people matters. Working closely with leaders and stakeholders at all levels, you will support operational and strategic HR initiatives while contributing to ongoing organisational change and improvement programs.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing expert HR advice across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management, and organisational development.
- Interpreting and applying relevant employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and HR policies.
- Supporting the delivery of key HR projects aligned to the organisation's people strategy.
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Coaching and supporting people leaders on complex people matters and performance issues.
- Supporting organisational change initiatives and workforce transformation activities.
- Contributing to employee engagement, workforce planning, recruitment, and capability development projects.
- Partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive HR generalist experience across employee relations, industrial relations, organisational development, recruitment, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and relevant employment frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, policies, and legislation.
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and people initiatives.
- Proven ability to partner with leaders and provide practical, commercially focused HR advice.
- Strong project management skills with experience supporting organisational change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and coaching capabilities.
- Previous experience within a unionised environment, local government, state government, not-for-profit, or community services sector will be highly regarded.
