Planning & Development Executive Opportunities

Davidson is partnering with a number of public sector organisations to identify experienced executive leaders for current and upcoming appointments within planning and development assessment portfolios.

These opportunities will appeal to accomplished leaders who have successfully led large, multidisciplinary teams and delivered strategic planning outcomes within complex, politically sensitive environments.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer or Executive Leadership Team, these roles provide executive leadership across portfolios that may include:

• Strategic and statutory planning
• Development assessment
• Growth management
• Sustainability and environmental planning
• Regulatory services and compliance
• Place making and economic development
• Community and stakeholder engagement

We're interested in speaking with executives who bring:

• Significant leadership experience within local government, state government or other complex public sector environments.
• Executive experience leading planning, development, infrastructure or growth-related portfolios.
• Demonstrated success leading organisational change, improving service delivery and building high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of planning legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement, political acumen and the ability to navigate complex governance environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban planning, environmental planning, engineering, business or a related discipline.
