An opportunity is available for an experienced Leading Hand / Junior Foreman to join a highly regarded commercial builder delivering quality retail build and fitout projects across Sydney.
The Role As Leading Hand / Junior Foreman, you will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of site activities. You will lead trades on the ground, drive productivity and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a fast-paced retail construction project.

The Role As Leading Hand / Junior Foreman, you will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of site activities. You will lead trades on the ground, drive productivity and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a fast-paced retail construction project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating daily on-site activities across designated work areas
- Supervising subcontractors and labour to ensure productivity, quality and safety targets are achieved
- Assisting with trade sequencing, site logistics and short-term programming
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures
- Conducting toolbox talks and promoting a strong safety-first culture on site
- Monitoring workmanship and assisting with quality inspections, finishes and defect management
- Supporting the Site Manager with daily reporting and site documentation
- Maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team
- Assisting in delivering projects on programme and within budget while maintaining a high standard of finish
- 2+ years' experience as a Leading Hand or Junior Foreman within commercial, retail fitout or refurbishment projects
- Trade background highly regarded with the ability to lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively
- Strong understanding of buildability, sequencing and fast-paced fitout programmes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork
- Salary: Up to $150k + Super DOE
- Monday to Friday role – no Saturdays required
- Standard working hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, supporting a genuine work-life balance
