About our Client:

Our client operates a copper mining project located approximately 380 kilometres east-north-east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
The project is accessible via the Stuart and Plenty Highways and offers a remote site-based working environment.
We are currently recruiting for experienced Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair light vehicles, heavy vehicles and diesel generators onsite.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Maintain, service and repair light vehicles and heavy vehicles.
• Service, troubleshoot and repair diesel generators.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure equipment reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs across a range of vehicles and equipment.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Complete maintenance records, service reports and all relevant documentation accurately.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintenance requirements.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a remote, field-based or site environment.

To be successful for this role, you will need the following:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing light vehicles and heavy vehicles.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting diesel generators.
• Strong preventative maintenance and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Confidence working across multiple types of equipment in a remote or site-based environment.
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (PEM).
• Ability to work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.
