GM Corporate Controller – Mining (based in Jakarta)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company focused on Mining and Energy. As the company expands, our client is seeking a Corporate Controller with at least 20 years’ experience in the mining industry for the GM Corporate Controller role. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Board of Directors
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with PSAK/IFRS, including notes and areas of critical judgment
• Compliance with IDX and OJK reporting deadlines, with no delays or material corrections
• Consistency in presentation across subsidiaries, associates, joint ventures, and foreign operations
• Subject matter expertise regarding business combinations, the equity method, dilution and disposals, foreign currency translation and OCI, as well as impairment
• Drafting accounting position papers and defending them before external auditors and the Audit Committee
• Developing, implementing, and updating the group accounting manual
• Acquisitions, divestments, rights issues, group restructuring, and ownership dilution
• Compliance with free-float requirements and associated capital market reporting obligations
• Coordination with Corporate Finance, Legal, independent appraisers, and consultants
• Designing, implementing, and overseeing the ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) framework at the corporate level and across all subsidiaries
• Remediating control deficiencies and audit findings in collaboration with Internal Audit, Treasury, and Risk Management
• Ensuring compliance with SAK (Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards) and government regulations, while mitigating risks within operational processes
• Managing relationships with external auditors, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan)
• Presenting and accounting for financial materials to the Audit Committee and the Board of Commissioners
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions, banks, and tax consultants

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent. Master's Degree is a plus.
• CA qualification is mandatory, while CPA, CFE, CMA, or Brevet certifications are highly preferred; a postgraduate degree is an added advantage
• A minimum of [20] years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
• Substantial tenure at a Big 4 firm—ideally at the Manager, Senior Manager, or Director level—leading engagements for publicly listed (Tbk) groups
• Experience in a Group Controller role (or equivalent) within a reputable publicly listed corporate group
• Proficiency in multi-subsidiary consolidation, complex group structures, associates and joint ventures, overseas operations, and corporate restructuring
• Strong command of technical accounting standards (PSAK and IFRS), Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) frameworks, corporate governance, and Indonesian tax regulations—including experience with tax audits and disputes
• Direct experience working with Audit Committees, Boards of Commissioners, and capital market regulatory reporting
• Exposure to the natural resources, energy, mining, or infrastructure sectors, or to capital-intensive holding groups, is a significant advantage
• High levels of integrity and independence; composed and decisive under pressure, with strong executive presence
